We currently operate two foundries in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, our home since the very beginning. Backed by over 125 years of experience, each piece of Lodge cookware is crafted for durability and versatility. We don't just make cookware — we make memories that last for generations. We embrace our legacy. We do the right thing. We love where we work. We are creators. We stay true to our roots. Our story begins in 1877 when Joseph Lodge moved to South Pittsburg, Tennessee. As a fifth-generation, family-owned company, our founder's legacy of quality cookware and innovation continues to this day. We pour a mix of molten iron and steel into sand molds to create solid, durable pieces of cookware that will last for generations. See our process We do the right thing. We are dedicated to reducing our impact on the environment. Over the years, we have developed company-wide recycling programs, uncovered ways to reuse foundry sand, switched to biodegradable packing materials, and invested in foundry equipment that reduces pollution and minimizes energy consumption. This Tennessee town has been our home since the beginning, and it's our ethical duty to take care of the people who have helped shaped Lodge Cast Iron into the successful company it is today. We support various charities, fundraising initiatives and other programs that have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help people and the community. Social responsibility We're a proud sponsor of the National Cornbread Festival, held right here in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, the last full weekend of April.
